Together Sing acknowledges the Traditional Custodians, the first singers, on our lands. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present and emerging.

What is Together Sing?

Together Sing is an opportunity for groups of people to sing together. During Mental Health Week, Schools and community groups across Australia opt in to sing a song specifically composed for the occasion. The lyrics of this commissioned work focus on singing together for mental health and wellbeing. A digital package including lyrics, audio files, scores and other support material will be available to schools and community groups free of charge.

Participants gather in their own context to perform the song together and immerse themselves in the joy and benefits of making music together.

This is totally up to you in your own context. The important thing is to sing together, promote the health and wellbeing benefits of singing and the value of Music Education. Some ideas include: a choir or small group singing on assembly, the whole school singing on assembly, an afternoon sing along where parents are invited, singing as a flashmob at a public place like a park or a shopping centre, singing with another group of people in your community...

Check out the files in Google Drive for some resources you can use and adapt.
