Join Maree Hennessy in this Primary Music Workshop on Friday 4 September as she explores how to structure your music program within the V9 Curriculum!
Two attendance options are available:

Morning tea will be provided in Mackay only. Please bring your own lunch.

Maree Hennessy
Maree Hennessy has worked across school, community and tertiary settings in music education and teacher training. She is recognised for her expertise in building teacher capacity and fostering excellence in teaching and learning.
Maree lectures in Kodály Certificate Programs in Australia and abroad. She recently served as Director of the Kodály Center at Holy Names University, where she strengthened community partnerships, mentored emerging leaders, and oversaw the Master of Music and Graduate Summer Certificate programs grounded in the Kodály philosophy.
Maree has contributed to curriculum development as Senior Project Writer for Education Queensland’s Curriculum to Classroom initiative, and as editor and key writer for Kodály Queensland’s Middle Years Music Education resource.
In 2026, Maree continues to support the lighthouse Music Every Day Program and Classroom Music programs at Brisbane Boys’ College, where she also serves on the Pedagogical Framework committee. She has contributed as consultant to the current South Australian Music Education Strategy, and is currently supporting teacher groups in Australia, Canada, South Africa and Malaysia.
